2025年12月2日～3日、メルセド・ペレツCDTIマネージャーの協力の下、フュージョンエネルギー産業協議会（J-Fusion）代表団がスペインのフュージョン・エネルギー（核融合発電）に関する施設の視察および関連イベントに参加するとともに、日スペイン間の産業協力に関する覚書に署名しました。

本視察団は、J-Fusion山田安秀理事（企画部会長）を団長に、会員企業のキヤノン電子管デバイスより豊田一郎常務、大陽日酸より福田健治部長、京都フュージョニアリングよりMario Oliverフュージョンエンジニア、清水建設より井上裕也ロンドン事務所長が参加しました。

12月2日に、IFMIF/EVADAを基にしたスペイン・クロアチアが主導する核融合中性子源計画であるIFMIF－DONESの施設を訪問し、フュージョンエネルギーに必要な中性子源照射に関する諸プロトタイプ設備を視察しました。スペイン南部グラナダで建屋の建設が進んでおり、ピリップ・カラDONESプログラム・マネジャー、ホセ・アグイラルDONESマネジメントリーダー等から、プログラムの現状と今後の展望などの説明を受けたほか、参加企業各社が自社の取り組みや技術を紹介し、今後の協力に関する活発な意見交換を行いました。

12月3日には、スペイン・マドリードにて開催されたBig Science Industry Forum Spain 2025（BSIFS2025）において、科学イノベーション大学省テレサ・リエスゴ長官（イノベーション担当）の立会のもと、J-Fusion山田安秀理事がスペイン科学産業協議会（INEUSTAR）のミゲル・カレラ会長と産業協力に関する覚書を締結しました。

本覚書は、フュージョンエネルギー開発に関する情報・知見の交流、人材開発、サプライチェーンなどの分野で双方の協力を促進することを取り交わしたものであり、署名後、INEUSTARエリック・フェルナンデス事務局長等と今後の具体的な協力の方向性について意見交換をしました。

また、BSIFS2025の会場では、代表団が出展企業のブースを訪問したほか、J-Fusion企業とINEUSTARの個別のビジネスマッチングが行われました。

December 2-3, 2025: With the cooperation of CDTI Manager Merced Pérez, a delegation from the Japan Fusion Energy Industry Council (J-Fusion) visited fusion energy facilities in Spain, participated in related events, and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on industrial cooperation between Japan and Spain.
The delegation was led by Yasuhide Yamada, Director of J-Fusion (Head of the Planning Division), and included: – Ichiro Toyota, Vice President from Canon Electron Tubes & Devices (member company) – Kenji Fukuda, General Manager from Taiyo Nippon Sanso – Mario Oliver, Fusion Engineer from Kyoto Fusioneering UK– Hiroya Inoue, London Office Manager from Shimizu Corporation.
On December 2, the delegation visited the IFMIF-DONES facility, a fusion neutron source project led by Spain and Croatia based on IFMIF/EVADA. They visited various prototype facilities related to neutron source irradiation necessary for fusion energy. Construction of the building is progressing in Granada, southern Spain. Participants received explanations on the program’s current status and future outlook from Philip Cara, DONES Program Manager, and Jose Aguilar, DONES Management Leader. Participating companies also introduced their own initiatives and technologies, leading to a lively exchange of views on future cooperation.
On December 3rd, at the Big Science Industry Forum Spain 2025 (BSIFS2025) held in Madrid, Spain, J-Fusion Director Yasuhide Yamada signed a MOU on industrial cooperation with Miguel Carrera, President of the Spanish Association of the Science Industry (INEUSTAR), witnessed by Teresa Riesgo, Secretary General of Innovation at the Ministry of Science, Innovation and University.
This memorandum promotes cooperation between the two parties in areas such as the exchange of information and knowledge on fusion energy development, human resource development, and supply chains. After the signing, the delegation exchanged views with INEUSTAR General Manager Eric Fernandez and others on the direction of future cooperation.
At the BSIFS2025 venue, the delegation visited the booths of exhibiting companies, and individual business matching sessions were held between J-Fusion companies and INEUSTAR ones.
